Yes, this sounds different because no one will be able to handle your profile after you died. This was an interesting and challenging project that I worked on intuitively creating a Grave profile of the dead person and helping users send flowers to Grave locations.

The impact of covid19 that conceptualized the need of virtual meeting or things that has to be go around remotely.

The need to create a dead profile - At the beginning of 2020 there was a huge impact and deaths caused due to Coronavirus all over the world. The virus was rapidly spreading since people couldn’t physically present in funerals, meetings, and other activities. It was a decade where staying at the home is being considered the safest. Lots of people were affected and lost their beloved ones.

The Dead body is either buried or cremated. As a survey, I researched the deaths happening around the world and the average of people buried or cremated. As a result, I analyzed that the rate of cremation is increased in recent 50 years compared to burials. The religion of the person and society's procedures are reflected in decisions of cremation or burial.

  • The highest rate of burial is followed in Catholic regions where the average rate of burial is above 75% in Europe & American countries.
  • The lowest rate of burial is practiced in religions like Hinduism, Buddism and have an average burial rate of 15% in South Asian countries like India, China.

It is a sign if
We’re focused on the set of users who follow the burial system after Death. To understand the user’s situation I’ve gone through several case studies and conversations through online platforms to find users’ motive to send flowers to a dead person’s Grave and to express their love & respect in an immortalized way. I found that people actually remember the memories with the dead person and actually miss the person while narrating their feelings. They’ve really wanted to go to their grave’s location and spend some time there with praying & flowers. But the cause of lockdown and transport inconvenience, they cannot actually express their love to the dead person.

Online Conversation — Sayings of user’s feelings upon the dead person.

Tweets for their condolence - Various peoples across the nation tweet for their beloved person’s death and express their condolence. As the problem is clear that value of people’s feelings, incomparable love & respect towards the dead person has to be exposed toward the dead person.

The practice of leaving flowers at graves began thousands of years ago when the ancient Greeks would honor fallen warriors. They believed that if the flowers rooted into the ground and grew from the gravesite, then it was a sign that the fallen had found peace.

It’s an ancient culture that placing a flower upon the dead person is a symbol of peace to the person in the grave. As history research, humans use flowers to pray to god & their ancestors. On every dead anniversary, people remember them and keep flowers upon their graves. Even psychologically flowers express a peaceful state and condolence is idealised through flowers.

Building the User Flow- The journey of a user starts in setting up a grave profile, marking in the calendar their birth & death date. Sharing the grave profile with their friends and letting their circle know their dead friend’s grave location. Now users can shop the flowers intuitively and send them to the grave location and expressing remembrance.

  • The user will create a profile for the dead person.
  • GPS location of the grave will be marked with the profile.
  • The user shops flowers and send them to the Grave.
  • The problem of expressing love to a dead soul is solved by sending flowers to the grave as a fact expression.
